Dream: A Tiger in My House!

Hello all,

I thought I'd share a dream with you I had this morning to see if you may have any comments about it. It was a bit of a nightmare at the end. :-(

A Tiger in my House!

I'm in my family home I lived in with my mother (until she passed two years ago) standing in the living room looking into the dining room where there were animals.

There was
a tiger walking around and a beaver in a cage.

There was no bar
rier between the two rooms; the animals did not seem to notice me.

My sister Nancy says "you even have a beaver" then goes upstairs with my mother. I did not see them in the dream. I notice the door leading from the dining room to the kitchen was open and I think in my head the tiger could get out that way. The tiger does that and I run to close the door to the pantry (this door is on the opposite side of the kitchen from the door leading from the dining room) so the tiger couldn't get though just as the tiger approached it but the door wouldn't stay closed. I made a loud noise with my voice to scare the tiger it worked but the tiger came back. I was scared and called out to my mother for help as the tiger got through the door.

I woke up because I was making the loud noise in real life too that I was making in the dream.

After I was awake I thought it was odd the tiger took the long way around through the kitchen and pantry instead of just walking from the dining room to the living room since there were no barriers between the two rooms.

I don't remember any color but it didn't seem a black and white dream. It seemed dimly lit and colors were muted.

Later when typing my dream in my computer I got a sense the tiger might have jumped over me as it got through the door but this was not in my notes.

Interesting elements to consider:

My old family home.

I was standing in living room.

Tiger roaming free in dining room.

Beaver in a cage in dining room.

Animals did not seem to notice me.

No barrier between dining room and living room.

My sister, Nancy, says, "You even have a beaver."

Sister (Nancy) is in the dream but not seen.

My sister and mother (Alice) go upstairs (both not seen).

Dimly lit rooms with muted color.

I notice the door from the dining room to the kitchen is open and I think in the dream that the tiger can get out that way then the tiger does go out that door.

Tiger goes through kitchen and pantry to try and get out and does not just walk from dining room to living room.

I can't keep door closed.

I use my voice to make noises to scare the tiger. It only works briefly.

I get scared and call out to my mom as the tiger gets through the door.

What do you all think? :-\

Hi Bob,
No interp, BUT God has used similar symbolism with me in a dream -- a big angry wildcat in my parent's home in a very similar situation. I was in the kitchen and tried to keep it in the dining room by holding up a screen door w/my hands in the doorway, but it reached out and clawed my right hand. Shortly after the dream I had an "altercation" with my father (the wild cat) who was very upset about something and "clawed" me a good one verbally. So perhaps your angry tiger, and the caged beaver (someone who's industrious but being restricted) refer to people you know, and perhaps a family member (your father's house). B&W = pray about it to keep the enemy from achieving his goal through this attack. Hope this helps.

Hello Pat,

Being the wild cat clawed your right hand it could represent an attack on the area of what you have faith to do. The kitchen is where you prepare your spiritual nourishment and the dining room could represent where you serve others or receive your spiritual nourishment.

What kind of wild cat was it? A wild house cat of like a bobcat or a cougar? What color was the wild cat?

Being it was in your family home it would suggest there are generational or family issues involved like you said. However, since you were active in the dream it would suggest the dream is about you and not so much about your father.

There seems to be a threat in what you have faith to do that is being impacted by generational or family issues.

I think in my dream there are soulish (tiger) issues that stem from generational or family issues. The beaver is a builder that builds dams. This could be a play on words (dam = curse) and could represent some things I need to have broken off of me from generational issues.

On the other hand, the beaver (builder) could mean there is some building that must be done in my life but I can't start this until I deal with the tiger (soulish issues). Obviously one wouldn't want to let a beaver out of a cage if there is a tiger roaming around.

Thank you for your encouragements.

Peace and blessings to you and yours.

I had a dream this morning of a tiger. My daughter was laying on the couch and she we have this huge stuffed bear and she was laying under it. The Tiger climbed on her and he did not want to attack her but he was sort of playing with her trying to get her to pet him. I was very frightened but approached them both cautiously, because he was laying across her whole body on top of the bear with his paws and face by her face. I then slowly pet it's head and scratched enough to where it began to turn toward me. It became playful and put its entire mouth over my arm as I petted it and coerced it to get off my daughter. It finally walked off of her but it dawned on my I have a tiger in my house with the rest of my children I have to get it out of her somehow without seeming to panicked. I then woke up? If anyone can help me with this please I would appreciate that.. email me if you have any idea at roofbreaker2000@yahoo.com thanks
